The system of modelling adopted is surely the most
ancient: the manual one, that consists in the realization of a sculpture
through further materials additions, continuing with the phase
of manual modelling and elimination of superfluous parts with the
aid of appropriate tools, mainly sticks of wood. Once realized and
dried up, work is cooked in special furnaces and then glazed when
its cold with acrylic colours.
All works are unique and original sculptures, and we all as unique
works also the series realized from an original model, then
destroying the mould of the same model, because the models, all similar
among them, do not exceed the number of nine, all numbered, signed
and finished off singly, with a further model empreuve dartiste,
in this case we specify the term set with the remaining
numbered models. The works are all provided of solid wood bases, mainly
essences of cherry-tree and walnut-tree, with brass plate.
Sculptures are sorted in:
tondo model: figure isolated in the space in the three
dimensions, completely free and observable from every side;
bass-relief: figure with its shapes stand out from the
bottom with half of their volume, realized creating chiaroscuro
contrasts;
pale: large format or monumental works, they result partially
or entirely hollows and for technical reasons they are cooked in separated
parts, dissecting the work with a blade after modelling.
Generally the cuts follow the line of the figure disguising themselves
along its profiles.
The artist is besides available to realize works on commission, of
any kind (busts, portraits, sculpturesque groups), material (terra
cotta, porcelain, bronze) and of any dimension.
